There are many good reason for taking a loan out with Larkhill & District Credit Union and one of them is the free loan protection cover that comes with loans. This loan protection cover is designed to protect eligible member’s loans in the event of death.

Am I eligible for Cover?

To be eligible for loan protection cover:

• You must be actively at work or able to carry out your normal occupation or duties,
• You must not have reached your 85^th birthday.
• You might need to complete a declaration of health form, and this will be explained to you at the time of your loan application and policy terms and conditions of insurance apply.
• Note if you are over 70 years of age loan cover is limited up to a maximum of €40,000.

This insurance cover is underwritten by the credit union movements own Life Assurance Company called ECCU Assurance Company Ltd (ECCU). ECCU provide its life assurance product to credit unions on a “not for profit” basis. ECCU was established by credit unions for credit unions and is owned by the Irish League of Credit Unions. The insurance policies in place are held directly between ECCU Assurance Company Limited and Larkhill & District Credit Union limited. ECCU has no contractual obligation to individual credit union members.
